Buying guide
Loomly alternatives
Loomly keeps social planning, feedback and publishing in a shared calendar. Its alternatives offer different ways to pay for collaboration, review drafts or organise several clients. That matters particularly when you need more people involved without buying much more account capacity than you use.
Buffer Team is worth comparing for unlimited members across a small number of channels. Planable gives visual drafts and approval a more central role.
Compare the choices
| Product | Main reason to consider it | How team needs affect the subscription |
|---|---|---|
| Buffer | A shared publishing queue with comments and reports | Team includes unlimited members; cost grows per channel |
| Planable | Visual drafts, feedback and required approval | Workspace pricing; required approval on Pro |
| HeyOrca | Shared client calendars and approvals | Paid calendar subscriptions include unlimited users |
| Sendible | Separate client workspaces and publishing | Unlimited users; Plus for approvals |
| SocialPilot | Account bundles with client publishing tools | Premium includes client approval and six users |
| Kontentino | Feedback, versions and client sign-off | Internal and external approval have different plan gates |
Compare team costs first
Loomly Starter currently includes twelve social accounts and three users at $65 monthly, or $588 paid yearly. Beyond increases the allowance to sixty accounts and unlimited users at a much higher subscription.
Starter can be a useful package when its three-user allowance is enough. If the main reason to move up is one more collaborator rather than many more accounts, compare alternatives that charge by channel, calendar or workspace.
Buffer and Planable
Buffer Team includes unlimited members and approvals at a per-channel rate. Its clear queue is useful when the main aim is to prepare posts together and keep publication on schedule. Comments and reports remain part of the wider service.
Planable gives feedback more room. Visual drafts keep comments attached to the content, and Pro makes approval a required step. It can make revisions easier to follow when several people need to agree the final post. Optional analytics and inbox subscriptions add to the workspace total.
HeyOrca and Sendible
HeyOrca's paid calendars combine scheduling with approval and unlimited users. Shared calendar links make it easier to bring clients into the discussion. Basic is $59 per calendar monthly, so the number of client calendars still matters even without individual seat charges.
Sendible also includes unlimited users, with separate workspaces for different clients. Plus adds approval and Premium adds branded reporting. It is worth considering when publishing access needs to be shared widely and the account and workspace allowances suit the client list.
SocialPilot and Kontentino
SocialPilot is useful when you need a substantial bundle of accounts with reports and client publishing tools. Premium includes six users and external client approval; the lower plans do not include that client sign-off process.
Kontentino keeps feedback, content versions and sign-off together. Its Starter plan includes internal approval; Standard adds external approval and more client collaboration. That distinction is important if the person approving a post works outside your team.
Our view
Loomly remains a good shared-calendar option when its included accounts and users match what you need. Compare the complete account and collaborator allowances, not just the starting prices.
For a few accounts and many collaborators, look at Buffer Team. For detailed visual feedback and clear approval, explore Planable.
