Loomly

Loomly review

Loomly gives social posts a shared home, from the first draft to the publishing calendar. You can plan upcoming content, collect feedback and check results without keeping the schedule in one tool and approvals in another.

A clearer content calendar

Loomly's calendars help you see what is coming up and keep different brands or projects organised. Unlimited calendars are included on Starter, so separating a campaign from day-to-day posts does not require an extra calendar subscription.

Approval workflows keep colleagues involved before a post goes out. Roles help distinguish the people preparing content from those responsible for signing it off. That is useful for a two-person team as well as a larger organisation; it is not just an agency feature.

Analytics sit alongside publishing, making it easier to review the results of the posts you have planned. The built-in link shortener also gives shared links a consistent format.

Loomly pricing

Starter costs $65 a month, or $588 billed yearly, equivalent to $49 a month. It includes 12 social accounts and three users, with unlimited posting and calendars.

Beyond costs $332 a month, or $2,988 billed yearly. Its allowance increases to 60 social accounts and unlimited users, with additional branding and reporting features. Enterprise is available for larger requirements.

These are the current Starter and Beyond plans, not the older Base and Standard packages still mentioned in some reviews.

Before you choose

Count everyone who needs their own account. Starter's three-user allowance can suit a small team well, but moving beyond it may mean a much larger subscription. Also check that the report detail and publishing formats cover the work you actually do.

Our view

Loomly's strongest appeal is keeping planning, feedback and publishing together in an orderly calendar. Starter includes substantial account capacity and collaboration, rather than reserving approvals entirely for a large-team plan. If a clearer shared publishing process would save repeated handovers, Loomly is worth exploring.
