Planable

Planable review

Planable keeps social drafts, feedback and approval together. People can see the post they are discussing, comment beside it and agree what is ready to publish. It is a useful alternative to passing captions, screenshots and revisions between email threads.

Review the post, not a separate document

Visual previews show the content in a form closer to the finished post. That helps someone review the image and caption together instead of approving text without seeing what accompanies it.

Comments stay with the draft, so a request to change a line is easier to find and resolve. The calendar shows how that individual post fits with the rest of the planned content.

Make approval part of publishing

Planable offers different approval modes. Pro includes required approval, while Enterprise adds more complex multi-level review. This lets a team distinguish informal feedback from a rule that a post must be signed off before publication.

Shared links can let a client see and comment on content. Formal approval requires a Planable account with the appropriate permissions. That distinction helps you choose the right review process without assuming a comment means final sign-off.

Add the tools you need

Planable is not limited to preparing drafts. Analytics, a social inbox and listening are available as separately priced additions. You can add these later, but they increase the total subscription.

Its strongest starting benefit remains the same: people can review the actual content and keep the decision close to it.

Planable pricing and free allowance

PlanCurrent workspace pricePublishing allowance
Free$0Fifty created posts in total
Basic$39 monthly or $390 yearlyFour pages, sixty posts per month
Pro$59 monthly or $590 yearlyTen pages, 150 posts per month; required approval

The free allowance is not fifty posts each month, and deleting posts does not reset it. Paid pricing is per workspace, with unlimited users advertised. Analytics starts at $14 per workspace per month, the inbox at $9 and listening at $99; annual options are available.

Compare the total for each workspace and any additions you need. A team mainly reviewing posts may need a different subscription from one expecting publishing, reports and replies together.

Other tools to consider

Buffer includes approvals on its Team plan, priced per connected account. SocialPilot offers a client calendar and external approval on Premium. Metricool adds approval alongside brand reporting on Advanced.

Our verdict

Planable gives draft review the attention it deserves. Visual posts, comments in context and clear approval modes help people reach a publishable version without losing the discussion. That is a strong reason to choose it when getting content agreed is taking longer than scheduling it.
