GetResponse

GetResponse is best when funnels, webinars and deeper follow-up replace other tools

GetResponse combines campaigns with landing pages, funnels, automation and webinars. It can save separate subscriptions for a lead-focused business, but useful multi-step automation requires a much dearer plan than basic email sending.

Who should choose GetResponse

  • Lead generation using forms, landing pages and multi-step follow-up.
  • A business running webinars or structured sales funnels.
  • A team that can replace several separate growth tools.
  • A nonprofit able to meet the current discount conditions.

What GetResponse does well

  • Strong combination of email, landing pages, funnels and webinars.
  • Unlimited email sends on standard plans.
  • Deeper automation and segmentation on Marketer.
  • Up to five users on Marketer.
  • An advertised migration service.

GetResponse makes most sense when the extra tools will be used every week. In that situation, keeping pages, webinars and email follow-up together can remove integrations and duplicate subscriptions.

What to weigh up

  • Starter includes only one custom automation.
  • Marketer begins much higher than the entry plan.
  • Contact growth and duplicate addresses across lists can increase cost.
  • It takes more setup and maintenance than a basic newsletter.
  • Reporting, tagging and some integrations are less flexible than the strongest alternatives.

What GetResponse costs in practice

At 1,000 contacts, current monthly prices start at $19 for Starter, $59 for Marketer and $69 for Creator. Annual billing is discounted. SMS, transactional email, dedicated IPs and enterprise services can require add-ons or a quote.

The same address on separate lists can count more than once. Price the way the lists will actually be organised, not only the headline contact tier.

Nonprofit terms

Eligible non-political nonprofits can apply for up to 50% off selected plans. The published 50% offer requires confirmed status, a GetResponse logo and link on the organisation's website, cannot be combined with annual or other offers, and lasts 24 months. Include the standard price after that term in the budget.

Before you switch

Obtain the migration scope in writing. Confirm whether contacts, suppression data, templates, forms, automations, domains and integrations are included. Give one person responsibility for tags, triggers and funnel assets.

Verdict

Choose GetResponse when funnels, webinars and deeper follow-up replace real tools and manual work. Skip the wider suite for a straightforward newsletter.
