Semrush Social
Semrush Social review
Semrush Social combines a publishing calendar with tools for following your own results and competitors' activity. It gives you a place to plan upcoming posts and look back at what is getting attention.
Plan posts with more context
The posting tools cover drafts, previews, queues and a calendar. Bulk CSV uploading is useful when you have already prepared a batch, while link tracking helps connect published posts with visits to your website.
Competitor tracking is a separate part of the package. It lets you follow other accounts as well as the profiles you manage, so you can see the wider activity around your brand rather than judge a post in isolation.
These are two different jobs: scheduling your accounts and observing somebody else's. Keeping both in one toolkit can be convenient when you use competitor content as background for your own planning, without simply copying it.
Semrush Social pricing
Base is advertised at $20 a month billed annually. It includes five managed social profiles, ten profiles for competitor tracking and 50 scheduled posts a month.
Pro is advertised at $40 a month billed annually, with ten managed profiles, 20 tracked profiles and unlimited scheduled posts. The higher Business plan adds further capabilities, including listening. These annual-billing figures should not be read as cancel-any-month prices.
Social is a dedicated toolkit. Do not assume that buying a Semrush SEO subscription includes the social package, or that a Social subscription includes the wider SEO tools.
Before you choose
Count managed and tracked profiles separately. An allowance for ten tracked competitors does not give you ten additional publishing accounts.
Base's post allowance also matters if you publish frequently across several networks. Pro may be the more realistic comparison in that case. Confirm support for your particular post formats; analytics coverage and publishing coverage are not necessarily identical.
Our view
Semrush Social has a clear appeal when you want scheduling and competitor observation together. The toolkit can help you turn a view of the market into a practical publishing plan, with reporting to review the results. Its separate pricing also makes the social offering worth assessing on its own merits, rather than only as an extra for SEO customers.
