Postiz

Postiz review

Postiz brings social scheduling, content preparation and automation into one workspace. You can use its hosted service or run the open-source software yourself, giving it a different level of flexibility from a subscription-only scheduler.

More ways to prepare and publish

The calendar gives you a familiar way to plan posts. Per-channel previews let you adjust the wording and media before publishing, rather than assume the same version belongs everywhere.

Recurring posts and RSS connections help with material that needs sharing more than once. AI writing and media tools add another starting point for drafts, while integrations, an API and webhooks let publishing connect to other software.

These options do not require you to automate everything. You can use the ordinary editor and calendar, then add integrations where they remove a repetitive task.

Hosted pricing and self-hosting

The hosted Standard plan lists at $29 a month for five connected channels. Team is $39 a month for ten channels, while Pro is $49 a month for 30. Team and higher plans include unlimited team members. A seven-day hosted trial is available.

Each connected account uses a channel slot: three Facebook Pages count as three channels, not one.

The open-source option avoids the hosted subscription, but you supply and manage the server. Hosting costs, updates and social-app connection setup still need to be considered. It is not the same as a free account on Postiz's hosted service.

Before you choose

Confirm the Standard posting allowance before paying: Postiz's public pricing table and homepage description currently give different limits. The channel price is clear, but that particular allowance needs clarification.

For self-hosting, allow time for the network app setup and permissions. Also check which AI and integration features are included in the version you intend to run rather than assuming every hosted feature is identical.

Our view

Postiz is worth exploring for its combination of a regular publishing calendar and more flexible automation. Hosted plans keep the setup simpler, while self-hosting gives you another way to run the software. You can start with the hosted calendar and add automation where it saves you time.
