HubSpot Social Media Tools
HubSpot social media tools review
HubSpot's social media tools connect publishing and conversations with the rest of your marketing. You can organise social posts alongside campaigns and see more than likes alone by following their relationship with website visits and leads.
Put social activity beside your campaigns
Posts can be associated with a HubSpot marketing campaign, so the social calendar does not have to sit apart from the email, landing pages and other material supporting the same launch.
The reporting is another important part of the appeal. HubSpot can connect social activity with visits, leads and customers in its CRM, giving you more context than a standalone engagement total. This depends on the tracking and data you have connected; it is not a promise that every customer interaction will be attributed perfectly.
Publishing and monitoring tools cover the everyday work too. You can schedule content, follow relevant mentions and use reports to compare networks, campaigns and publishing times.
What HubSpot Social costs
The social tools require Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise. HubSpot's free CRM and Marketing Hub Starter are not cheaper ways to obtain the same social package.
Professional starts at $890 a month, with three Core Seats and 2,000 marketing contacts. A $3,000 one-time onboarding fee is required. Different billing offers may reduce the subscription rate, but the overall purchase is Marketing Hub, not a low-cost standalone scheduler.
Additional seats and marketing contacts can change the bill. Include those in a quote rather than comparing only the starting subscription.
Before you choose
If you mainly need a calendar and a few social accounts, a dedicated scheduler is a much smaller purchase. HubSpot's stronger justification is the connection with marketing campaigns and customer information.
Ask for a demonstration using the reports and networks you need. Some newer features are labelled beta, and the wider suite's availability should not be assumed from the words 'social media tools'.
Our view
HubSpot is worth exploring when social activity needs to be measured alongside the rest of your marketing. Bringing campaigns, publishing and CRM reporting together can be more useful than another isolated dashboard. For an existing eligible Marketing Hub customer, it is also sensible to explore the included tools before buying a separate social subscription.
