Canva Content Planner
Canva Content Planner review
Canva Content Planner lets you schedule social posts from the same place you create the design. It combines Canva's templates and editing tools with a calendar, so getting an image ready and sending it out can be one continuous task.
From a design to a scheduled post
The main convenience is avoiding the export-and-upload routine. A design already in Canva can become a scheduled social post, without moving it to a second service just to choose a date.
That also makes changes less awkward. You can pause a scheduled post and adjust the design before it goes out, rather than hunting for the original file and replacing a downloaded image.
Canva's wider design tools add to the value. Templates give you a starting point, while paid tools such as resizing and brand resources help adapt a design for other uses. The benefit is not just a calendar: it is having the artwork and the publishing plan together.
Post insights cover measures such as impressions, clicks, likes and comments. These offer a useful first look at how your content is doing after publication.
Canva Content Planner pricing
Content Planner is part of Canva Pro, rather than a separate scheduler subscription. Canva currently lists Pro at US$180 a year for one person, equivalent to $15 a month on annual billing. A monthly option is also available.
The subscription pays for Canva's broader premium design features as well as scheduling. If you already have an eligible subscription, the planner may let you avoid adding another paid tool. Canva Free should not be confused with access to the full Pro planner.
Before you choose
Check that Canva supports the accounts and post formats you regularly publish. A convenient design-to-post process is less useful if your everyday format still needs another app.
If assigning customer replies, complex approvals or cross-account reporting is central to your social work, compare dedicated social management products as well.
Our view
Content Planner makes particularly good use of work already happening in Canva. Keeping the editable design beside its scheduled date is a practical saving, and the wider Pro design tools can be useful well beyond social posts. It is worth exploring before paying for a separate calendar just to publish your Canva designs.
