Quire Project Management Review: Tasks, Plans and Pricing

Quire helps teams break projects into nested tasks, then work with those tasks through shared views. Assignees, dates and discussion keep execution details attached to the work, while filtered sublists let different people focus on relevant assignments without creating separate copies. Paid plans add more views, time tracking and dependencies.

Its central idea is useful when a large deliverable needs both a detailed breakdown and a focused daily view. Explore how your team would divide one project into nested work and shared sublists.

One task, several useful views

Quire's sublists are filtered views of the same tasks. Changes remain synchronized with the main list, and a filter-defined sublist automatically includes matching work. That means a focused view can stay connected to the full project rather than becoming another list someone has to reconcile manually.

Sublists can be visible to all members, selected users, external users or only privately. Reordering can also affect the main list, so agree on how the team uses ordering before treating a sublist as an entirely independent workspace. Free includes two sublists per project.

Nested tasks give larger assignments room to be broken down. References can link tasks, projects, documents and chats, including across projects, allowing related work to be connected in context.

What dependency planning actually does

Dependencies are available on Professional, Premium and Enterprise and support finish-to-start links. A red timeline link flags dates that are inconsistent and need adjustment. Project administrators can optionally prevent completion when the task, or any of its subtasks, has an unfinished predecessor.

This offers a specific control over the order in which work is completed. It does not establish automatic cross-project rescheduling. If changing one project's date needs to recalculate another project's commitments, include that requirement in a demonstration instead of inferring it from the existence of task references.

Professional also adds timeline, table and calendar views and time tracking. These are the paid capabilities to examine when the project needs scheduling and recorded effort beyond a nested list or board.

Quire pricing: Free limits and paid scheduling plans

Free supports ten members, four projects and 1,000 tasks per project, with unlimited subtask levels. It includes five task statuses, one custom field and one document per project, a 3MB individual file limit and five days of activity history. Nested lists, Kanban and milestones are described in the product scope.

Confirm the Free storage allowance if files are important to your use. Visit Quire for up-to-date paid pricing and the billing commitment for the plan you need.

External members count toward seats. Include those participants when requesting a paid offer, and distinguish them from simply sharing a focused view. Professional adds priority support, while training is charged hourly. Request a response commitment if your team requires one.

Adoption and connections

Quire's guide covers creating an organization and project, invitations and import, followed by assignees, dates, comments and the more detailed planning tools. A sensible setup sequence is to establish your task hierarchy first, then create the views that make it useful to each participant.

The documented integration and transfer options include Slack, Teams, Google Drive, OneDrive and CSV or JSON import/export. Check the specific actions and preservation of task structure before moving established projects.

Verdict: detailed work without disconnected copies

Quire belongs on a shortlist when your team wants deep task breakdowns and focused views of the same underlying work. Its sublist model is a concrete advantage to evaluate when people need different working lists but a shared project record.

Asana offers assigned projects alongside My Tasks and Inbox for personal follow-through. ClickUp provides another configurable hierarchy with tasks, documents, chat and dashboards. The wider project management comparison helps you choose which style of coordination fits.

Begin in Quire with a deliverable that has several levels of work and give collaborators focused sublists. If scheduling and time tracking are also required, evaluate Professional's documented tools and obtain the quote including external members before purchasing.
