Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda)
Coda Project Management Review: Superhuman Docs and Plans
Superhuman Docs, formerly Coda, brings documents, tables, formulas and connected workflows together. Teams can build project trackers and team hubs that keep written context beside the records people update, rather than maintaining a narrative plan and a separate tracker.
That combination is useful when the explanation of a project matters as much as its current status. Explore the product if you want to shape a shared working document around your team's process, with Packs and workflows connecting it to other tools.
What changed from Coda
Coda became Superhuman Docs on July 8, 2026. Existing documents, tables, formulas, Packs and workflows continue, and existing coda.io links redirect to the new home at docs.superhuman.com. It is one continuing product under a new name.
Existing plans and pricing continue unless a customer voluntarily connects a bundle. Bundle access does not automatically upgrade the Docs tier. A Mac app launched with the rename. Confirm the current Windows desktop option if your team requires an installed app.
A document that also tracks work
The core building blocks let a team combine explanatory text with structured project information. A project hub could keep the brief beside a tracker, with formulas and workflows supporting the way the team organizes that information.
The distinction between makers and participants matters to setup. Doc Makers create the structure; editors can work within it but cannot create documents or pages. Agree who maintains the hub and who contributes updates before deciding how many paid makers you need.
Coda pricing: Superhuman Docs maker billing and plans
Paid Doc Makers and workspace admins are charged; editors and viewers are free. Whole-team headcount is therefore different from paid-maker headcount. A team with a few people designing its hubs and many people contributing could find that model worth evaluating, provided the editor restrictions match how it works.
Visit Superhuman Docs for up-to-date pricing for the Docs tier and billing period you need. Count paid makers and workspace admins, then add any paid Packs required by the workflow. The cost depends on who creates documents, not simply everyone who contributes to them.
Team adds automation and Pack capabilities plus protection; Enterprise adds SSO, administration controls and hands-on support. Specific paid Pack costs and contractual support commitments remain unknown. Ask which of the capabilities in your intended document are included rather than assuming a bundle or integration name settles the price.
Free shared documents allow 50 objects and 1,000 table rows per document. Exceeding either starts a 14-day grace period, followed by read-only status unless the document is reduced or upgraded. Personal unshared documents avoid those object and row limits, but still have 1GB total attachments and a 10MB individual attachment limit. A successful personal experiment does not establish the limits of a shared team hub.
Packs, refresh rates and growing documents
The product describes Slack and Teams messaging and Jira task actions. Packs and Cross-doc sync can bring connected information into documents, but the exact actions, permissions and additional charges should be checked for the connections you need.
Pack and Cross-doc sync tables allow 100 rows on Free and 10,000 on paid plans. Free refresh is manual; Pro adds daily automatic refresh, and Team and Enterprise hourly refresh. That difference matters if the team expects a hub to reflect external changes throughout the day.
All tiers have a 325MB formula-calculation limit. New Cross-doc syncs from a source above 125MB are unsupported. Unlimited pages therefore should not be read as unlimited calculation or synchronization capacity. Model the size of the working hub and the records it must sync before making it central to a large process.
The previous Coda AI credit system was paused July 6 during the Docs AI beta. Paid makers have generous limits, while editors and free users receive limited trials. Those temporary terms do not establish permanent unlimited AI in a base subscription.
Alternatives and verdict
Asana is worth comparing when you want dedicated task and project structures with personal assignments and portfolio visibility. ClickUp brings Docs alongside tasks, chat and time recording in a configurable hierarchy. Compare these approaches in the project management guide before deciding how much of the workflow you want to design yourself.
Superhuman Docs is an appealing candidate when written project context and structured tracking should live together, and a small group can own the design of those shared hubs. Visit the provider to examine a representative document with both makers and editors, then confirm the paid tier, Packs and refresh schedule needed to keep it useful.
