Field service software for QuickBooks
QuickBooks can remain the accounting system while field service software manages customers, quotes, schedules, technicians and job completion. The important question is not whether a provider displays a QuickBooks logo, but exactly which records move, in which direction and on which plan.
Strong options to compare
- Jobber for an approachable all-round home-service workflow around QuickBooks Online.
- Kickserv for a smaller-team workflow with QuickBooks Online and optional Desktop support.
- FieldPulse for a configurable growing-team system with accounting connections.
- Service Fusion when unlimited users and broader scheduling, job and billing tools matter.
- RazorSync when its published user bands fit and the chosen plan includes the required sync.
QuickBooks fit at a glance
| Product | QuickBooks fit | Where it may be gated | What to test |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jobber | QuickBooks Online | Confirm the required Jobber plan and exact records covered | Run a customer, invoice, partial payment and credit through a test company |
| Kickserv | QuickBooks Online; Desktop support is available on higher or extra-cost terms | Desktop and advanced dispatch depend on the plan | Confirm the edition, which system holds each record and how duplicates are handled |
| FieldPulse | QuickBooks Online connection | Pricing is quote-led and optional modules can change the scope | Ask the demo to show the exact records and direction your workflow needs |
| Service Fusion | QuickBooks Online connection | Accounting, scheduling and reporting features vary by plan | Reconcile one completed job and payment in a test company |
| RazorSync | QuickBooks Online support on eligible plans | The chosen tier must include the required integration | Confirm record scope, errors and retry behavior before migration |
Test every connection with the plan you intend to buy, because providers can change plan gates and record coverage.
Choose where each record is kept
Decide where customers, items, tax, estimates, invoices, payments, expenses, time and job costs should originate. Keep each kind of record in one system. A two-way connection is not automatically safer if office staff can edit the same information in both places.
Test before moving data
Use a trial or guided demo with a separate QuickBooks test company. Create a customer and estimate, complete the job, collect a partial payment, issue a credit and reconcile the result. Confirm error handling, duplicate prevention and what happens when the connection is unavailable.

Verdict
Jobber is the strongest broad starting point for many QuickBooks Online users. Kickserv is a practical small-team alternative, while FieldPulse, Service Fusion and RazorSync deserve attention when configuration, team cost or plan structure changes the choice.
